JOJA stands for Joslyn and Jason. We are from the Bay Area in California and owned Jason’s Restaurant in Marin County for over 13 years. We moved to Oahu and opened JOJA in late January 2021.
Jason is classically trained from The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He opened his first restaurant Seafood and Pasta Kitchen in 2004, in San Rafael, CA. He later opened a second restaurant, Jason’s Restaurant in Greenbrae, CA in 2007 where he ran the kitchen up until the beginning of the pandemic when we sold Jason’s.
I have been in hospitality business for over 15 years, bartending, serving, and hostessing at Jason’s in California.
We had plans to open another restaurant in California, but decided to make a big change during the pandemic, making the leap to opening JOJA in Oahu.
We serve unique and delicious dishes, made from scratch, with local tastes and Bay Area roots.
